Reports to: Store Manager or Sales Floor Supervisor
Job Summary:
Outgoing, friendly, team player, commanding presence, problem solver, takes initiative, passionate about service, results driven and loves to laugh. Takes pride and ownership over their responsibilities and overall enjoys life. An overall positive attitude. Ability to make eye contact and communicate clearly. Able to make cold calls inviting customers, businesses, to our store for events, sale days, discount days.
Responsibilities and duties:
Ensure front of store is clean, neat, and presentable at all times. Partners store manager when janitorial tasks are not completed. Help where possible.
Ensures Hiring Table is set up to standard and is able to understand how to direct candidates to tablet and/or online application. Able to conduct a walk in screen. Collaborates SM with store specific hiring events and needs.
Clearly communicates how donations benefit the charity. Able to direct donor to bin or drive up.
Hands out sale day fliers to customers leaving the store during promotional times.
Makes calls to 5-mile radius businesses inviting them to our events, sale days, and discount days.
Creates events with partnership of store manager to drive foot traffic.
Tracks results over LY when events scheduled.
Cleans up after events.
Mingles with customers and communicates with customers clearly, when they arrive for a sale day, event, discount day, etc…
Able to communicate policy to customer entering with large bag.
Makes eye contact with customers entering and exiting building.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to read and write
Physical Requirements:
Lifting and Carrying up to 10 lbs.
Pushing and pulling 4 - 6 lbs. or force
Standing 90% of the time
